So I finally got off my keister to go check out Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen, and I feel the need to share some thoughts.

LIKED:
-Sidewsipe was awesome.
-Bumblebee was totally awesome.
-Optimus Prime was even more awesome.
-Mr and Mrs Whitwicky are amusing as always.

DISLIKED:
-What was with the spinning camera during all the Sam and Mikela scenes? I was about to puke from vertigo.
-I went to see a movie about robots beating the crap out of each other, not an US Army recruitment ad.
-Were they reusing Decepticon models at the end? I swore I saw Bonecrusher in the assault force. They also pretty much reused the same 4 green eyes, red face with mandibles head for all the unnamed Decepticons.
-Movie felt...directionless in the third act. It just dragged on from sound stage to sound stage.
-Did they just have Peter Cullen spout off random one liners and pick and chose for the fight scenes? "Give me your face"? "You fall, I rise"? WTH.
-Michael Bay and ILM seemed to think they were clever by having the Transformers fight through set pieces. "Look, they're in the real world!" But I found that the end result was just a lot of architecture obscuring the robots.

I think the movie would have been a lot better if they had cut out 20 minutes of useless footage and tightened up the action scenes. Overall, I get what the writers and Michael Bay were getting at, but crappy editing definitely ruined a bit of the movie for me. Maybe they'll have a different cut on the DVD that'll be better.

PS: Studio AC will be in the Artist Alley at Otakon 09. Table N-06 and N-07, so smack dab in the middle.
